George and Kathy Heidelmaier started It’s PayDay in January 2008, when they both resigned from their jobs to fill a void in the local industry for an honest and reliable payroll company. With limited clients in the pipeline, a desire to help their fellow business owners, and a drive and passion to succeed, It’s PayDay began.

From the loft of their Bel Air condo with two desks, one computer and one phone, Kathy managed the operations side of the business and George managed the sales side. After 6 months, they had over 40 clients and then hired their first employee to support their efforts. By the end of the first year It’s PayDay had nearly 100 clients. It's PayDay found a niche in the medical industry while also growing a large portfolio of nonprofit clients. Each year, It's PayDay grows at approximately 100 clients per year.

Currently, It’s PayDay helps over 500 small and medium sized businesses with the challenges of a complicated payroll world.

George and Kathy Stuff a Bus Fundraiser


It’s PayDay is often involved in community projects like ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, volunteering to cook and serve the homeless at a shelter in Belcamp, "Stuff a Bus" with school supplies and collecting toys for the "Empty Stocking Fund."

It's PayDay has built a relationship and fondness for local nonprofits that has resulted with annual $5,000 donations over the past 3 years. There is also a company policy that all nonprofit organizations who process payroll with It’s PayDay have their fees discounted by as much as 30%.

It's PayDay does not stop with just caring for the people and organizations within community, by going paperless and promoting less paper usage and recycling within the office and their clients, they hope to inspire others to join the green initiative for the environment. Recycling is picked up once a week and Chesapeake Shredding company protects against identity theft and reuses the disposed paper.
